Roman Blinds

A Stylish Fabric Alternative to Curtains

Roman blinds are essentially a panel of fabric that can be drawn up or down in a series of large pleats using cords and rods attached to the rear of the blind.

Roman blinds can be fitted either within the window recess or outside it. If you are hanging the blind outside the window recess then it is advisable to allow a generous overlap each side of the window to minimise any light that may creep around the edges.
Also, fitting a roman blind above the frame can make a window look larger and will prevent the top fold blocking and light. above the frame will maximise the light, since the top pleat won’t then block the window. If you have a protruding window sill protrudes, the blind can finish there.

We can also supply blinds for bay windows.

The sheer range of fabrics we have available means that it is possible to ensure that the fabric chosen for the Roman blind co-ordinates with the décor of the room, whether the scheme is traditional or modern, floral or contemporary. We also have Roman blinds in designs aimed specifically at rooms such as children's bedrooms and you will also find blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.

We offer several types as lining as we do with made to measure curtains. We supply our roman blinds with a child safe track with a chrome sidewinder chain that makes raising and lowering the blind less of a chore and eliminating the cord and cleat system entirely. Our blinds also come with safety breakaway devices that pull apart and snap back together.

To help you match to your décor, we can supply a small sample for you to take away if required

Important to know
Some manufacturers / suppliers will sew through the front fabric to make the rod pockets, if your blind is blackout lined you will likely see a line of light shining through the needle pinholes in the morning, our blinds are never sewn through the front of the fabric unless specifically requested..
